Bankruptcy Support

Baker Evans has been set up to help guide people through the often daunting process of bankruptcy. In extreme cases other debt solutions are simply not suitable, and your client may have to make a completely new start by declaring themselves bankrupt. However, “going it alone” can be full of pitfalls and can even damage your client’s long-term financial interests if not handled correctly.

Baker Evans has highly trained consultants that explain the facts in plain English to help the client make an informed decision.

We will provide for each client a dedicated bankruptcy consultant to go through the whole process step by step. They will not only help with completing the necessary paperwork, but also act as a go-between to protect your client from aggressive creditors and collection agencies.

At the request of the client, we will contact all creditors and notify them of the decision to enter bankruptcy proceedings. This should help minimise contact from creditors during the transition.

We provide a Helpline to all our bankruptcy clients for a period of 1 year, giving your client the support of qualified Insolvency Practitioners, who can provide expert advice and guidance in relation to the client’s bankruptcy.

Bankruptcy is still a serious undertaking, and we will always give clients the option of taking a less severe route such as debt management or an IVA if it is the best solution. Furthermore, bankruptcy is a process which suffers from a lot of stigma and misinformation; Baker Evans’ overriding aim is to help sweep away all this and give clients all the information they need to make a decision based on the facts.
